Kiah has lived in Washington for most of her life and moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington. She is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Disability Studies.
Kiah works part-time as a Newborn Hearing Screening Technician where she utilizes her love for children and passion for early intervention communication services. She has also worked with children in childcare, volunteering, and nannying settings in the past. Kiah has always been interested in childhood language development which prompted her to seek work and a future career in early intervention and childhood communication. She also spends time volunteering at a children’s speech therapy and occupational therapy clinic in Seattle.
Kiah intends to pursue graduate studies in Speech Language Pathology and work with children to address language and communication disorders at an early age. In her free time, you can find Kiah curling up with a cup of tea and a good book, enjoying movie marathons with her roommates, or trying a new bagel shop somewhere in Seattle.
