Laureline joined the STEPS team in 2019! She was born and raised in France before moving to Seattle at 8 years old. She currently attends the University of Washington where she is pursuing a degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences.
Laureline has worked with children in a variety of settings including nannying, camp counseling and as a research assistant in the psychology department at the University of Washington. Language and communication have always sparked her interest and eventually motivated her to work with those with limited functional communication. Through an on-site clinic, she has been able to observe ASHA certified professionals perform treatments and evaluations on both children and adults. Additionally, she volunteers in the aphasia lab of the Speech and Hearing department as a data analyst. This past year, Laureline served as Vice President of Philanthropy of her sorority and organized various fundraising events.
Laureline plans on pursuing a graduate degree in Speech Language Pathology and hopes to work with children and adults with language impairments due to neurological deficits. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her roommates, planning future trips abroad and spending quality time with her cat, Pants.
