Natalie joined the STEPS team in 2019!
She was born and raised just north of Seattle in Mukilteo, WA, and attended both high school and college in Seattle. In the spring of 2019, she graduated from the University of Washington College of Education with her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Family Studies. Also in her time at UW, she minored in dance and worked on her prerequisites for physical therapy graduate school.
Natalie began working with children with special needs in high school, when she volunteered at Providence Medical Center’s Camp Prov. Having fallen in love with the field, she never looked back, returning to Camp Prov as an employee every summer throughout college. She also gained experience in a variety of settings through volunteer positions at the Experimental Education Unit, Hutch Kids Childcare, and Turning Point.
In addition to her work as an early childhood professional, Natalie is also a dancer who performs with several theaters in the Seattle area. She also loves doing anything outdoors, playing volleyball, water and snow skiing, and spending time with family and friends.
